Glass curtain wall construction quality inspection checklist
2024-07-09 Back
The following is a quality inspection checklist for glass curtain wall construction:
I. Preparation before construction
1. Design document review
Whether the design drawings are complete, accurate, and in compliance with relevant specifications and standards.
Whether the structural calculation is reasonable and can withstand the expected load.
2. Material acceptance
Whether the specifications, models, and quality of the glass meet the requirements, and whether there are any damages or scratches.
Whether the material, size, and anti-corrosion treatment of the frame material are qualified.
Whether the quality and performance of auxiliary materials such as sealants and hardware accessories meet the standards.
II. Construction process inspection
1. Measurement and laying out
The accuracy of the baseline, whether the measurement error is within the allowable range.
2. Embedded parts
Whether the position, quantity, and specifications of the embedded parts are correct.
Whether the anchoring of the embedded parts is firm.
3. Frame installation
Whether the verticality, horizontality, and diagonal deviation of the frame meet the requirements.
Whether the connection method of the frame meets the design, and whether the connectors are tight.
Whether the anti-corrosion treatment of the frame is in place, whether there are omissions or damage.
4. Glass installation
Whether the installation position of the glass is accurate and the gap is uniform.
Whether the pads between the glass and the frame meet the requirements to prevent the glass from being overstressed locally.
5. Sealing treatment
Whether the sealant is full, continuous, and uniform, without bubbles or cracks.
Whether the sealant is firmly bonded to the glass and frame, and whether there is debonding.
6. Fire and lightning protection treatment
Whether the installation of fireproof materials complies with fire protection regulations and whether the filling is dense.
Whether the lightning protection connection is reliable and whether the grounding resistance meets the requirements.
III. Inspection after construction completion
1. Appearance inspection
Whether the surface of the glass curtain wall is flat and clean, without obvious color difference and stains.
Whether the surface of the frame is smooth, without scratches or rust.
2. Performance test
Conduct airtightness, watertightness, and wind pressure resistance tests to see if the results meet the design requirements.
3. Open the window sash to check
Open flexibly, close tightly, and the hardware accessories are in normal use.
The window sash has good sealing performance, no air leakage or water leakage.
4. Cleaning inspection
After the construction is completed, whether the curtain wall surface is clean and free of residual debris.
5. Completion data review
Whether the construction records, inspection reports, acceptance reports and other materials are complete, true and valid.
The above list is for reference only. In the actual inspection, it can be appropriately supplemented and adjusted according to the characteristics and requirements of the specific project.
